On May 17, our extraordinary founder and Executive Director, Dr. Ann López, will celebrate her 80th birthday — and we can't think of a better way to honor her than by rallying to support the cause she’s devoted her life to: farmworker justice.

Saturday, May 3, 2025: Dr. Ann López, Dolores Huerta, Mireya Gómez-Contreras, Adam Scow and community members gathered outside the agricultural fields behind MacQuiddy Elementary School in Watsonville to speak about the use of dangerous pesticides near homes and schools in South County.
Saturday, October 5, 2024: Harvesting Hope a farm-to-fork fundraiser at beautiful Mariquita Farm in Watsonville featured a lovely 4-course organic, plant-based meal, and guest speakers Dr. Ann López, Director of CFF, Adam Bolaños Scow, leader of the Campaign for Organic and Regenerative Agriculture, farmworkers Ernestina and Jorge, and chefs Maria Gonzalez and Emily Beggs.
Sunday, April 14, 2024: Cesar Chavez Day of Service at the Homeless Garden Project Farm featured Dr. Ann López, Director of CFF, as she spoke about the everyday hardships of farmworkers.

Saturday, August 12, 2023: Harvesting Equity featured Civil Rights Activist Dolores Huerta, Dr. Ann López, Director of CFF, and Mireya Gómez-Contreras, Co-Leader of Esperanza Community Farms, as they discussed sustainable communities, organic farming and economic justice in front of 500 community members at the Henry J. Mello Center for the Performing Arts in Watsonville.
Monday, March 20, 2023: The Center For World Networking Fundraiser Project highlighted Dr. Ann López, Director of CFF, and Kevin Heuer, Director of Engagement & Impact for the Community Foundation Santa Cruz County. The event included group discussion and collaborative inspiration to help our hardworking neighbors in the farmworker community.
